The ACT Disc Golf Club is holding its annual Australian Disc Golf A-Tier event this coming February 20-21. This year, we will be returning to Weston Park to play a new modified 27 basket layout that will likely be the permanent course moving forward. After much input being taken in from players following the 2018 Nationals, the club has redesigned the course to allow for better overall playability by modifying the existing holes and adding some new ones. We believe that the changes will be a better fit for this ever increasingly used park in the heart of the National Capital while still maintaining a championship level. If you’ve played here before, I think you will like the changes!
The finalized course map will be posted shortly so you can see what you’ll be in for. We will also update our google maps course map so that you can better navigate the course prior to the event. Most baskets are permanent and there will be approximately 6 portable baskets used for the event with the locations being marked by flagged wooden stakes (which have been mostly done already).
What to Expect?
As Covid has made it hard for interstate travel, and since it is nearly impossible these days to get custom stamped tournament discs, we won’t be having a players pack but will have an awesome well marked and signed course, good round prizing, good award prizing, full lunches both days, and a Saturday evening social. We will be playing 1 round of 27 holes per day.
Here is the tentative schedule:
- Friday 19th February
- Most of the course will be playable all the time (including all the new tees) with the additional baskets being marked by stakes. Baskets will be placed out on Saturday morning but may be out on the Friday as well.
- Saturday 20th February
- 9:30am – Players meeting
- 10:00am – 1st Round Start (bit later start to allow for interstate travellers to come that morning)
- 1:30pm – Lunch
- 6:30pm – Social TBD
- Sunday 21th February
- 8:30am – Player’s meeting
- 9:00am – 2nd Round Start (earlier start to make it easier for travellers to get back to their homes)
- 12:30pm – Lunch
- 1:30pm – Awards

Pro Divisions MPO/FPO/MPM: $80
All other Divisions: $60
