Club days are a group of fortnightly events (grouped into two seasons per year) where we come together to play with other members and anyone else who wants to join! We use a handicap system to give out prizes in each event, and bigger prizes for the season. The system lets you track your progress and improvement over time.
Club days are a great chance to get out and meet people and to play with people of all skill levels, so come and join in the fun!
To participate it’s 3 simple steps:
- Sign up for a Australian Disc Golf membership (free)
- Sign up for a Disc Golf Metrix account (free)
- Find the event you want to participate in and register on Metrix

Registration
First thing is to signup for a membership with Australian Disc Golf for insurance purposes. It’s free! https://www.australiandiscgolf.com/join/
Then sign up for an account at www.discgolfmetrix.com then to sign up head here and navigate to the drop down box and pick the appropriate round/date then click the orange register button on the top right.
- New player – FREE!
- ACTDGC Member – $6 per round
- Non Member – $12 per round
You’ll need 3 rounds to get a rating (handicap) on Metrix so we can place you in an appropriate grade. If you already have a handicap on Metrix you will no longer be eligible for free rounds.
Grading
Club days are played across 3 divisions using the Metrix rating system handicap.

Where to meet
- John Knight Park we meet near practice basket / tee pad 1
- Eddison Park we meet at tee pad 9 (cemetery carpark)
- Weston Park we meet at Gold hole 27’s basket (second carpark on your right as you enter, near the swimming bay area)
- Athllon Park we meet at tee pad 1 (Wheeler Crescent)

Club day prizes
Grade win – Each round the best score on handicap from A, B and C grade will earn themselves $20 club voucher.
CTP (Closest to Pin) – $2 buy in at Metrix registration. Each round we select a hole and whoever ends up the closest off the tee on that hole wins. CTP is offered for A, B and C grade.
Ace Pot – $1 buy in at Metrix registration. Get a hole in one (ace) on any hole during the round and take home the cash! You can opt in and pay with registration on Metrix.
Scratch Win – $2 buy in at Metrix registration. Think you’ve got what it takes beat everyone on the course and shoot the hot round? Winner takes the pot.
Season Points and Prizing
We play two seasons split across the calendar year:
- Season 1 from January to June
- Season 2 from July to December
Each round a player will accrue points based on where they finish on handicap for an event. First will get 25pts, second 24pts, third 23pts etc all the way down to 25th and anyone thereafter 1pt.
When it comes to the end of the season we will be totalling up your best 6 rounds (out of possible 12) with a requirement to play at least one round at each course. The overall winner in A, B and C grade will be rewarded with some prizing and this year the runner up of each division will also be getting rewarded for their efforts.
